The Victorian Government has invested $217 million to deliver the next stage of the Latrobe Regional Hospital expansion. This stage will expand the maternity unit and deliver three operating suites, 44 inpatient beds and 14 medical and surgical beds. This means more people can get the care they need, closer to home. There will also be six new intensive care unit beds, a new emergency resuscitation bay and a medical imaging and pathology unit. The expansion will help to meet the region’s increasing and complex health demands. It is part of our master plan for delivering improved health services throughout the Gippsland region.
